Ordering and Stock

Are the tiles on your website in stock? We work with UK-based suppliers who stock a wide variety of tiles. To ensure color consistency, it's essential to order tiles from the same batch. While a supplier may have ample stock of a particular tile, they might not have enough from a single batch to fulfill your order. We'll always confirm stock availability and batch consistency before finalising your order.

How many tiles should I order? We recommend ordering at least 10% more tiles than you need to account for cuts, breakage, and future repairs. This is especially important for larger tiles and those with intricate designs, We also recommend having a box of each tile left over for any future rpairs as we will be unable to match batch numbers at a later date.

What is a tile batch number and why does it matter? Each batch of tiles is assigned a unique number. Slight variations in colour and texture can occur between batches, so it's important to use tiles from the same batch for a consistent look.

Tile Types

What's the difference between porcelain and ceramic tiles? Porcelain tiles are denser and less porous than ceramic tiles, making them more durable and water-resistant. However, they are typically more expensive to purchase and install.

Installation

Which is more important: good tiles or a good tiler? Both are important! Even the highest quality tiles can look poorly installed with an inexperienced tiler. Conversely, a skilled tiler can make even budget-friendly tiles look great. We recommend investing in both quality materials and professional installation for the best results.

Can I return tiles?

Due to the nature of tile batching and the potential for slight variations between batches, we cannot accept returns on tiles. We encourage you to carefully consider your tile choices and order sufficient quantities to complete your project, including extra for cuts, breakage, and potential future repairs. If you have any questions or need assistance with your tile selection, please don't hesitate to contact us before placing your order.
